Fighting Fakes: Social Media

We are aware of an increasing number of social media accounts that have recently appeared online aimed at recruiting athletes, models, ambassadors and product testers on behalf of V3 Apparel.

These are fake accounts used to steal personal information and have no connection to V3 Apparel.

Official V3 Apparel handles can be identified across all social media platforms with the @V3Apparel and @V3Women handle's only. You can also verify any method of communication from V3 Apparel by reaching out to our team directly through our dedicated support channel at support@V3Apparel.com.

Your safety is our priority. If you receive a message, post or comment from any user accounts that do not have our official handles and claim to operate on behalf of V3 Apparel please do not respond. Doing so provides them with an opportunity to convince and coerce personal information and data from you. Instead, please unfriend, block and report the account. Provided you are happy and it is safe for you to do so, we would also appreciate you bringing any accounts to our attention so that we can block and restrict these users from accessing those within our online communities.

All accounts brought to our attention will be escalated and further action pursued by V3 Apparel within the appropriate channels for each social media platform. All reports will be kept anonymous.

Stay Safe

  • Keep personal info personal: Never share your password or any personal information. Set the privacy settings on social platforms to a level you feel most comfortable with.
  • Unique account, unique passphrases: Create secure passphrases for each account and turn on two-factor authentication.
  • Once posted, always posted: Think before you post and if you're still unsure, check content with a friend or family member before doing so.
  • Stay in control: Take time to learn the privacy and security settings on each social platform and adjust your privacy settings accordingly, reviewing them regularly.
  • Know and manage your connections: Best practice is always to only accept friend requests from people you personally know.
  • Report things that look suspicious: Links in email, tweets, direct messages and online advertising are often used to steal personal information.
  • Remember: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
